Even though this new school year will be different, let us all take on this new challenge to embrace new ways of teaching and learning. My goal is to broaden your horizons, teach you to think like a historian, and instill a lifelong love for history.

Through Virtual Learning we will travel across the United States and visit museums and other countries. We will have a world of history and fun at our fingertips!

It is vital that students log in to Canvas each day for each Block to stay current on their lessons. Fridays will be remedial days to catch up if they fall behind. Teachers are available every day through email if you ever have any questions, concerns, or just need clarification.

America Enters WWII, December 7, 1941 when Japan attacks Pearl Harbor without warning:

The Battle of Midway took place June 4-6, 1942. This was the turning point of WWII for America in the Pacific:

D-Day, June 6, 1944. This was the turning point of WWII for the Allies in Western Europe and also began the liberation (freeing) of Western Europe:

Although this was 5 years ago, I don’t have the heart to take this picture off our blog. Sugar, or Tashauna as I knew her as my 3rd grade student at Elephant’s Fork Elementary, plays for the WNBA, and currently is playing for the Las Vegas Aces. She was a superstar in Suffolk Public Schools and continues to shine 🙂 Sugar, we love you and are so very proud of all you have achieved. Most importantly, you have never forgotten where you came from.
