Robert A. Rubin is widely regarded for his experience in complex construction disputes avoidance and resolution, representing governmental and private owners, developers, institutions, sureties, project managers, construction managers, general contractors, members of the design team, and trade contractors. Mr. Rubin has extensive experience in the use of dispute review boards and other alternative dispute resolution techniques to resolve construction disputes. He is a member of the Construction Industry, Master Mediator, and Mega Project Arbitrator Panels of the American Arbitration Association. He is Adjunct Professor, Columbia University, faculties of Law and Civil Engineering, where he teaches an interdisciplinary course on construction industry law. He is a member of the New York State Bar and is a licensed Professional Engineer in New York. He is Past President of the American College of Construction Lawyers; Past President of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation; a Fellow of the College of Commercial Arbitrators; and a member of the National Academy of Construction. Mr. Rubin received a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Cornell University and a Juris Doctor from Columbia University.
