The Noetic Learning Math Contest (NLMC) is a semiannual problem solving contest for elementary and middle school students. The goal of the competition is to encourage students' interest in math, to develop their problem solving skills, and to inspire them to excel in math. A national middle school mathematics competition that builds problem solving skills and fosters achievement through four levels of fun, in-person 'bee' style contests. In response to COVID-19 this year, there will be more contests and they will be held online. Individual competitions. ENGINEERING FRESHMAN PROBLEM SOLVING. MARKETING & QUIZ BOWL COMMUNICATIONS. ROBOTICS SHOWCASE. A club may have one entry in each category. DIVISION I - 9th & 10th Grade. DIVISION II - 11th & 12th Grade. President - 10th or 11th Graders. Vice-President - 10th. Dyalog Ltd is pleased to host the APL Problem Solving Competition. The challenge has two phases: Phase I consists of ten simple problems that must all be solved. Phase II consists of more complex problems in three categories. We encourage students at all levels of education, anywhere in the world, to participate.

The Noetic Learning Math Contest (NLMC) is a semiannual problem solving contest for elementary and middle school students.

The goal of the competition is to encourage students' interest in math, to develop their problem solving skills, and to inspire them to excel in math.

During the contest, students are given 45 minutes to solve 20 problems. Many problems are designed to challenge students and to enrich their problem solving experiences.

The contest is for students in grades 2-8. Teachers in any public school or private school are encouraged to register their students. Click here to register your teams!

Recognition and Awards:

Math

National Honor Roll Medal: The top 10% of all participants in each grade will receive 'National Honor Roll' medals.

Team Winner Medal: The highest scorer of each team will receive a 'Team Winner' medal.

Team Achievement Plaque: The top 10% of teams (excluding after-school institution teams and homeschool teams) will receive Team Achievement Plaques.
